Inside Lacrosse TV: 2008 Season Preview
One-Hour Special will air on Thursday February 21st at 4:00 EST on ESPN2

________________________________________________

ESPN2 will preview the 2008 college lacrosse season with a one-hour special with Inside Lacrosse TV on Thursday, February 21 at 4:00 p.m. EST. The one-hour special will preview the upcoming college season and also take a look at the biggest stories and personalities in the game. ESPNU's Dave Ryan and Quint Kessenich will discuss the sport's latest developments.  The Inside Lacrosse staff worked directly with the ESPN production team to put this special together.

A few highlights of the show:

CODE ORANGE - No team is more synonymous with winning than Syracuse; however the last three years have been anything but usual for the Orange. In 2005 they lost in the NCAA Quarters. In 2006, blown out in the NCAA Semis. In 2007, the Orange didn't qualify for the postseason for the first time in a quarter century. What do they need to do to get back the swagger?  IL visits with the Syracuse program.  Produced by John Jiloty

STARS OF THE COLLEGE GAME - Highlight-driven piece showcasing the most exciting players in college lacrosse - Paul Rabil (Johns Hopkins), Matt Danowski (Duke), Ben Rubeor (Virginia), Max Seibald (Cornell). Cut-in sound bites from coaches and players describing their skills, ability and impact on the field.  Delivers to lacrosse fans what only TV can, the thrills of the most athletic, skilled players in the sport.
Produced by Quint Kessenich

CHRIS CLARKE - Christopher Clarke was a senior captain of the Patterson High School lacrosse team in Baltimore during the spring of 2007. However, on the evening of March 13, 2007 on his way home from work at a Burger King in East Baltimore, Clarke stopped and visited a friend. When he left his friend's house, as he was opening his car door, gunfire erupted around him, and Clarke was found dead under his car. Family and friends mourned heavily for his loss.  Devastated by his death, Patterson High's lacrosse team still played through the season, and dedicated it to Clarke, chanting "one-two-three, rest in peace, Chris!" before games and practices.  This is a story about Chris, his impact on the lives of the teammates and how lacrosse breaks the stereotypes many have about the people who love the sport. Produced by Geoff Shannon

THE DIVE IS NOT DEAD - Highlights of Doug Knight and Michael Watson and Mikey Powell and John Christmas. The game's greats talking about the game's most exciting play.  The NCAA banned the move in 1999, but the dive is still alive in the pros and, in amended form, in the college game as well.
Produced by Jay Jalbert

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF CASEY POWELL- Inside Lacrosse follows lacrosse superstar Casey Powell through his day of preparation and playing for the NLL's New York Titans at Madison Square Garden.
Produced by Jay Jalbert
