CASEY POWELL NAMED NLL OFFENSIVE AND OVERALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

New York, NY - The New York Titans' Captain Casey Powell was named NLL Offensive and Over-All Player of the Week for his performance in the Titans 14-11 victory over defending champs the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday, February 23 at Blue Cross Arena. Powell was the points leader in the game with nine off of three goals and six assists, his points season high. Powell also scooped up eight loose balls in the win.

Currently, Powell is second in the league in points with 48, one point behind Buffalo's John Tavares. He is seventh in the league in scoring, with 19 goals and third in the league in assists with 29.

Led by Powell, the 4-4 Titans are currently on a three game winning streak and ranked fourth in the East as they head to Philadelphia Friday to play the undefeated Wings.

The Titans next game is on the road against the Philadelphia Wings on Friday, February 29 at 8pm at the Wachovia Center. The Titans will play their next home game on Saturday, March 22nd at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ against the Philadelphia Wings at 7:30pm.
