Welcome to Casey Powell Lacrosse - Team 22, the premier Florida tournament elite training team program that strives to deliver the best combination of training and playing experience in an off-season training program. We focus on overall lacrosse experience and development while testing our strengths against other elite training programs throughout the US and beyond.

WHAT IS TEAM 22?

Team 22 are elite traveling lacrosse teams that train together throughout the summer, to compete in the best and most competitive tournaments in the Northeast.  Casey Powell Lacrosse has an incredible roster of coaches that will serve as excellent role models and teachers of the game.

PROGRAM GOALS

• To “stretch” our players through a competitive game and training schedule.
• To give exposure to ALL college coaches for recruitment purposes.
• To create an experience that will better our players as a lacrosse player and person.
• To prepare our players to compete with the best players in your age group in the country.
• To teach sportsmanship and the mental maturity and toughness it takes to play at the top level of lacrosse. 

TEAM SELECTIONS

Players are selected through an open tryout based on the existing talent in the local area. There will be 2 tryouts dates to ensure that all players will have an opportunity to showcase their abilities. Competition is expected to be fierce and only the best will be selected.

After a very successful first year in Florida, we are excited to expand our program to the following age groups and levels.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR:   CASEY POWELL

COLLEGE:   One of the most decorated players in NCAA history, Powell was a four-time All-America selection earning second-team (attack) honors as a freshman in 1995, while being named to the first team in 1996 (midfield), 1997 (attack) and 1998 (attack). Casey played in four final fours, helping the Syracuse Orange to a national championship as a freshman. He was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team during all four years of his career and tallied 158 goals, 129 assists and 287 career points and ranks in top five in all three categories in Syracuse’s storied history - team went 46-12 in Casey’s four years, good for a .793 winning percentage. Casey was named 1998 Turnbull winner as Nation’s Top Attack Player for Division 1, and also won the Enners Award in both 1997 and 1998 as Outstanding Player in Division 1. Casey was awarded McLaughlin Trophy in 1996 as Nation’s Top Midfielder.

PROFESSIONAL:  Boston Blazers(NLL), Rochester Rattlers(MLL) One of the NLL’s top players of all-time, Casey will enter the 2010 season as the reigning NLL Most Valuable Player, the first American to ever win the award. A savvy veteran, Casey is entering his 9^th NLL season overall. His career totals include 176 goals, 258 assists and 434 points in 90 career games and he has averaged an incredible 4.83 points per regular season game over his career. His post-season stats include 20 goals, 23 assists and 43 total points in five playoff games during the past two years. Casey originally began his NLL career by being  selected in the first round (#1 pick overall) by the Rochester Knighthawks in 1998 NLL Entry Draft and was acquired by Anaheim in trade with Rochester in 2003. He joined the New York Titans in September 2006.

Casey is also the all-time leading scorer in MLL history. He was named an MLL All-Star in 2007. In 2005, he was an MLL First-Team All-Star and the Warrior Offensive Player of the Year.  Powell is third in Rattlers' history in goals (115) and second in assists (108) and points (225). Ranks third in league history with nine playoff assists. He is also tied for sixth in MLL history with 21 playoff points. Played for the Long Island Lizards from 2001-02 and won the inaugural MLL Championship in 2001.

PERSONAL/OTHER:  Casey comes from perhaps the most famous of lacrosse playing families -brothers Ryan (1997-2000) and Mike (2001-04) join Casey (1995-98) as four-time All-America players at Syracuse, Younger brother Mason is currently a high school standout at Cazenovia High (NY). Casey was named to Lacrosse Magazine’s All-Century team and was a member of the 2006 US National team and played for US Team that won 1998 International Lacrosse Federation’s Championship Cup. 

POWELL COACHING STAFF

Participating players will work closely with top players and coaches from the NLL, MLL, US National Team and NCAA programs. The staff is selected to insure a specialist for every position on the field.
